What can I say? I literally ate this book. I hung on every word eager to see how it continues. What a great book. MAN! If Hugh Howey keeps this up, he will easily move up to my most favorite authors list. The characters are wonderfully written. Emotions described so well, the characters came to life in my head. I can see the silo when I close my eyes. I was constantly torn between one side and the other. Constantly wondering which side was right or wrong. I kept reading to have things revealed to me. Howey switched between the points of view and the different chapters to keep the suspense up - very successfully so. One chapter ended and with that it brought a break in that one storyline, leaving me longing for more, craving to see how it continues while the next chapter made me dive into a new storyline, a different character and their point of view. A constant switching between those things back and forth, keeping me interested, keeping me glued to my Kindle. I love this book. I honestly do. The world and characters Howey created are exactly what I love to read about. I even felt bad for the bad guy at some point even though I hated his smug behaviour for most of the story. Not once was I bored. Not once did I feel the urge to just skim some pages to get faster to the end. On the contrary, I only reluctantly put it aside to do such unimportant things as sleeping or eating. But I'm only repeating myself: love the book, love the story, love the characters! 5 Stars!
